In my previous blog, I mentioned that we just returned from Disney World.
<taking a moment to acknowledge my Disney blues>
With this particular trip, we drove and decided to make some stops along the way to see friends. 2020 felt 10 years long and time has been flying by in general, so I was happy we got to spend time them!
While we were visiting a friend and his family in Brevard, North Carolina, we went to the Pisgah National Forest. Our first stop was to the Ranger Station! As stated on the USDA site: Pisgah Ranger Station offers a variety of experiences including interpretative trails, day hikes, information on the Pisgah National Forest, and interpretative visitor center. The visitor center is operated by FIND Outdoors.
The kids love all things interactive, so this was great for them. They took brochures, pressed buttons on the interactive maps and even pet some bears! (The bears were no longer with us.)

Next, we headed over to dip our feet and splash around in the creek!

We finished up our afternoon just outside the forest with some ice cream from Dolly’s! Brevard is such a quaint area. It’s great if you love the outdoors and was a fantastic way to finish up our road trip!
If you’re thinking of traveling this summer, you may just want to look into Brevard and Ashville, North Carolina!
